I'm from the A, I came to party 'til I pass out
Moving will occur in about 6 days. This is a scary proposition as I have no idea how I am going to actually move. I do have a couple friends lined up to throw in a hand, but nothing in terms of a vehicle to accomplish the move. That is actually not even what worries me the most. I have to somehow figure out how one goes about transferring phone lines and cable bills and cancelling all the other bills. I realize this seems like I trivial matter, but I’ll be damned if I can get a hold of a single person at any of these companies to give me a hand. They all seem to work the same hours as I do, which I suppose should be expected, is not very helpful. Today would be a perfect day to do it, because work isn’t busy, but turns out everyone else isn’t at work because it is a holiday. I will have to figure this out at some point.
Other cool shit going down here is that start of big name punk tours. The following line-up will be attended by myself and likely no one else (unless Mark gets in on it):
Feb 24 – Death by Stereo (who ever thought I would be excited to see these guys again?)
Mar 6 – Guttermouth and The Planet Smashers (I don’t like guttermouth but I bet this show will be cool)
Mar 19 – The Brat Attack (I think they are good?)
Mar 23 – A Taste of Chaos (This is bound to destroy every other show I see up to Warped Tour)
Mar 31 – All That Remains and As I Lay Dying
Apr 6 – Strapping Young Lad and The Agony Scene
Apr 13 – alexisonfire and the fullblast (whoever that is)
Apr 14 – Rise Against and Hot Hot Heat (this will be deadly for certain)
Apr 23 – The Weakerthans
Apr 27 – The Killers (with Tegan and Sara? What the hell is that?)
May 20 – Green Day (I will see this just to bug Mike if he doesn’t get a chance to see them)
Jul 14 – The mother of all punks shows and the answer to my wet dreams about seeing Thrice and Atreyu. If either of those bands cancels I will personally kill Mike’s first born child.
Looks like a decent line-up. Throw in a couple hip-hop shows that I plan on finding through looking at the posters on 17th and this will be a good concert season.
On a stupider note, on Friday I passed out on my couch with pizza in the toaster oven. Ash has informed me that this is a “fire hazard” and the situation isn’t funny like I thought it was. From here on out no more drinking til I pass out. I hope.

No more drinking till you pass out? What does that mean? Isn't the drinking a prequisite for the passing out? Anyway, I'm down for the Weakerthans if I'm still in town. Where are they playing? If they play "One Great City," I will be in heaven. I haven't heard of any of those other bands, which obviously means they did not evolve from the Seattle grunge scene and are therefore inadequate.
The weakerthans totally spawned from Propagandhi, and as such are a derivative of the Winnipeg punk scene. I'm pretty sure Propagandhi has a song about how much eddie vedder sucks to tell you the truth. I will spend this afternoon tracking it down.
If you need help moving, let me know.
Stern
Why, Stern? Do you know someone who can lift heavy objects?
