Stay ghetto if you must, but remember to get out
So I have a little time at work right now and I thought I would write a little something about a topic that is relevant to everyone who reads this blog: Dizzee Rascal's new album. I dunno if I ever made anyone listen to Boy in Da Corner, but I definitely should have. For the ignorant Dizzee is a British emcee who spits as like Busta Rhymes on some other shit. The frantic rhymes aren't the only difference between Dizzee and most American rappers these day (although it is nice to hear something other than slowass Lloyd Banks style raps, and Lil' Jon's screaming) as Dizzee raps over these grimy garage style drum and bass tracks. I'm sure that appeals to everyone, but I have to tell you that Dizzee's new cd is the only one in my cd player these days. To put some context around that statement I recently purchased the following cds and they continue to be passed over for "Showtime":
- Mos Def - the new danger
- Talib Kweli - the beautiful struggle
- k-os - joyful rebellion
- Snoop Dogg - R&G: The Masterpiece (as if anyone out there isn't feeling "Drop it like its hot". That beat kills me.)
Anyways, as you can see this is a line-up of serious heavyhitters (at least in terms of who I listen to), and Dizzee surpasses them all. I figure that is a good spot to end this infomercial, so on to other matters.
Work has been going well recently because I have finally fallen into a groove. I roll in everyday about 15 minutes late, check my e-mail for a half-hour (I count other people's blogs as e-mails cos none of those folks ever send me anything), and then get down to work. Work mostly involves phoning people to get information and waiting for them to get back to me. In the meantime I take on small jobs from others so that I can be busy until my information comes in. Then all of a sudden everything comes in and I swamped for a bit. That is normally around when I lose my motivation and start doing crap like posting in my blog. Then I have worked piled up until I get motivation, normally the next morning or something. After I am done pissing around I piss around some more until I can make a casual exit while everyone else keeps working.
So now it’s about 45 minutes later and I just caused some stupid shit and was getting like 10 e-mails a minute from people way too far up for me to be talking to. That was wicked. All that I said about leaving before everyone else is out the window for today. I gotta cut this off and sort this crap out now.
Peace.

Josh, you know I am always up for getting down. I'll be back in town on the 18th. You should ask Voice about the deuce-deuce party. I think we should get a crew together and go take down half the females in the town of clavet.
