It ain’t all about the money

Yesterday was a big day for me. I bought my Endeavour Live 159 from the source. This board is spectacular. I had planned on buying it at Doug’s where I get a marginal discount, however after factoring in the cost of the ride home and all that jazz it was not economically sound. I now must determine what bindings I want, and pray that someone un-robs my house, leaving tons of cash in it for me to spend. I actually have a planned list of expenditures that are all snowboard related, however they are getting put on hold until after Christmas because I need to buy a couple people some gifts. Damn.

Speaking of gifts, I ordered presents for my parent’s birthdays way back in Rocktober from some dude in Scotland and have yet to receive them. I kinda thought they should be here by now, even if he sent them by tugboat, but they have yet to make an appearance. I am starting to think some mangy Scotsman hosed me. Quite disappointing. I am also now unsure as to whether it is required to buy them another gift, or if trying to get one and getting screwed is good enough. Tough.

Another thing I feel I should touch on is the delicious Halo 2. This game is worth every penny I spent on it, and the other tiny items that are being collected to facilitate it’s playing. Today I am off to Radio Shack in search of a cable splitter so Tim quits yelling at me for moving his TV around. I am also expecting my router from Paul sometime soon. This will prevent me from monopolizing all sources of media in my house and prevent my roommates from hating me so much. Rad.

On a completely different note, I hope these dark clouds around here mean that it is snowing in the mountains. Sunshine is set to open tomorrow, and while I won’t be taking my new board out on the rocks yet, I do have my old shitty board set to roll. This is gonna be one of the best winters ever (if I don’t get worked to death). I think McFinnangly and his crew are up here for the weekend, and that means I may be able to hitch a ride to Canmore. That would be terrific. Needless to say, I can’t really afford a trip out there until I actually get my next paycheque (most of which I spent last night). This does not concern me however, as saving for retirement or whatever it is people save their money for is not a major concern of me. Live fast and die young and whatever else goes along with that saying. I am obviously following this by choosing a career as an accountant. Stimulating.

More thoughts:
- I need a real computer so as to abuse the music industry.
- This girl in procurements is looking particularly fetching today.
- I still haven’t seen Mean Girls, but I can bet you it is a great movie
- Cowboys on Thursday nights is becoming a weekly house ritual
- Attempts to stay sober are continually thwarted by my friends’ good intentions
- Work goes way faster when you are actually working
- I am flying solo to the Christmas party, and likely will do the same for the remainder of my career at EY
- It’s been too cloudy to see the mountains from work the past few days
- I talk to my parents at most once every two weeks now, and I am not sure if that is their fault or mine
- I get to see the Beatnuts and it will be great

That’s it. Peace.

Jb...First off we must thank you a million times over for the fantastic night on thursday night....Ryan Apologizes for any wrongdoings cause by the gratuitous amount of booze/shooters done and consequently the girl who was not left in the happiest state when he let other guys into the room to get a towel. She displayed this by puking in Marks room and then running screaming out once other people started to come in. On the other side of the fence one Josh R had the most mind blowing bareback knee bleeding sex I've ever had and
i definately owe you a beer or two when we get back here...possibly at joey tomato's as to engineer a round deux. Any who the s'toon boys are out we'll prob be back in Dec for much much more debauchery. Until then...keep the pimp hand strong
