Crack addicts, crack windows, crack wood

(This should have been posted last night. I apologize.)

Taking a small break from work right now, although things such as taking breaks appear to be discouraged here. Granted I have started utilizing my full lunch hour, because I recognize that this is a luxury I will not be afforded in the coming busy season. Wow does that ever sound like hell on wheels, and as it gets closer the more I contemplate bailing out. I’m not especially adept at working hard, and this is an even larger problem when I am tired. I expect I will be tired from January until the end of April. Fuck ya.

Other than me being at work right now not too much is going on. Today Evan brought up the prospect of going to see the Rider game in Edmonton this weekend, which sounds spectacular to me, especially if we can convince Mr. Voice to make an appearance. That would be a shit show extraordinaire. I have found that due to laziness on Sunday’s and my roommates gambling addiction I have been watching lots of football lately. Enough that I have an idea what is going on, and have almost even picked a team to root for. This is odd because previously I had given football a wide berth. The closest I ever got to enjoying a football game was getting drunk with Ash’s dad at Maguires during the last Vanier Cup the U of S played in. Seeing as they got stomped I feel my enjoyment probably came more from the alcohol and hot wings than anything else.

If you recall one of my previous posts, I mentioned how excited I was for Halloween because I was going ot be the one giving out candy. Well the day started off good as there were no signs of a hangover from the previous nights activities, in fact all that remained from the night before was a hell of a lot of red bull that was still making its way through my system. The next good thing was that as Tim was flipping through the channels before football started he happened across The Nightmare Before Christmas. This is damn close to being one of my favourite movies ever, and I haven’t seen it in a long time. I even own the damn thing, it just happens to be an old VHS and I don’t own a VCR. Either way, my roommates had never witnessed its greatness os I made them watch a bit of it. Great way to start your day. Unfortnbuately the rest of Halloween didn’t play out quite as well.

Tim and I had bought lots of candy the day before, not wanting to run out before all the kids were gone. We still have lots of candy. I don’t know if it is our neighbourhood, or Calgary as a whole, but something was definitely lacking last night. We live in a neighbourhood I believed had lots of children in it, but apparently there are only 3. That’s right, we only had 3 trick-or-treaters all night long. I was incredibly disappointed. What the hell is this world coming to when only 3 kids come by all night? Fucking disgusting. Needless to say, some parents need to step the fuck up and get their kids out there collecting candy. This situation is unacceptable.

That appears to be a good enough rant for now, so I am going to start working again. Awesome.

Keep it right.

barely any trick or treaters here either, we were driving to the movie and we saw maybe 5 small groups of kids. are parents scared to let their kids out of the house now? are they too lazy to go with? do people even have kids anymore? I dont know.
