I went out to pick a fight with anyone

Shit I have done lately:

Saw Stars plat at Mac Hall with Evan. It was a wicked show and I am pretty sure Amy Millan is the greatest female vocalist ever. I don’t think the cds do her justice. I could write a bunch of shit about scenesters and young girls and all types of ill shit, but right now I think that may be a little too involved. Possibly at a later date.

Worked.

Watched Arturo Gatti beat the fuck out of some Danish dude. This had little to do with ridiculous cartoons of Mohammed, and a lot to do with Gatti showing up to fight 7 months after getting demolished by Floyd Mayweather. It was looking like it was going to be an easy beatdown for Gatti, where he could actually box and not brawl, but this Danish dude would not drop. I think Gatti broke his right hand around the fifth round and the fight went to 11, so he fought for seven rounds with a busted hand. And that is why people love Gatti so much, he is one tough motherfucker. Have I ever written about boxing in here before? I should have because I love boxing. I never did until I moved to Calgary. I think this city made me aggressive.

Wondered what all these people rioting do for a living. If I left work to go burn down some embassy I would have to come back and make up for that lost time. I can’t imagine taking four days off to stomp on flags outside of some random building. Some things I am pretty sure I will never understand.

I have made a list of shit that I should buy if I ever have money. This list includes awesome things like new glasses, a computer, groceries, and turntables. I need the turntables and computer to make awesome music that involves droning post-rock and clicks and beeps. I’m going to be huge in Japan.

In conclusion, Pretty Boy Floyd is fighting in April and I will be watching that; I have many shows to go see in February and March, and I will be joining the computer audit group sometime around then. This makes me one happy cat.
I would be an even happier cat if I actually went to see all of these shows. Calgary is nice for this shit. I can only imagine what one would have to go through in Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal.

Peace.

March 25 should have Jason Collet replaced by City and Colour.

I wonder if any of those people see the irony in rioting to protest a stereotype of being needlessly violent. Probably not.
