They’re making money but smashing trees
I picked up my ticket to Rise Against and Alexisonfire today because I was sick of missing shows and I wanted to do something about it. I am proactive. Also I was feeling flush because I got a fat $300 of my damage deposit back [note: D, if you ever read this anymore, send me your address and you will get yours]. So now that I have my ticket, I am fully expecting some other people to pick some up and come watch two of my favourite bands these days absolutely kill it.
Now Mike has said (and he is my reference when it comes to all things punk or metal) that Watch Out! wasn’t as good as the first Alexisonfire cd. I want to dispute that claim and point out the new video for No Transitory. Lots of I talk to say they can’t get into this band, but then you show them the video for this song and they can feel it. I suppose this actually sort of supports Mike’s claim, because one of the best parts of the first album was the slit throat screaming, but the wicked song structures and musicianship are still all there. I think these guys might even be on par with My Chemical Romance for the ugly band playing good music claim (actually not quite because MCR look like hobos). Still, I am excited as hell to hear them play this new stuff live.
On a completely different note, those of you who know Jon should go check out his blog. Scroll down a bit and you will be blown away, the first set of pictures are the real ones.
Keep it right.

I tried getting a ticket to their show in Edmonton, and they were sold out.
Brian
we are all carpooling to Regina to see the show, except mike who is just going to regina and not coming to the show,
As for the newer alexisonfire cd, i think it is better as well, Though 44 caliber and Little Girls and all of those were great songs, the new album is awesome, i dont even mind that there is less screaming, like im sure most people disagree but i think happiness by the kilowatt hour is one of their best, as well as all the rest like accidents and no transitory, good call Justin.
Hey are you still going to the killers?
