I will push my hands through you, I don’t need bullets

I am currently sitting in a coffee shop in Salmon Arm, BC. The owner has made sure I have hot coffee in my cup for the last couple of hours. Normally hanging out in a coffee shop isn’t the kind of thing I would do when at the lake, but it has been pouring rain for the whole morning.

We spent last night in the worst motel I can remember staying in, Traveller’s West Motel. Never stay there. The advertised Free Internet turned out to be a computer in the office, and beds that sink in the middle aren’t what you are looking for when two dudes are sharing a bed. We also appeared to be the only people at the motel who didn’t work for Tiger Forest Tree Planting.

I’m hoping that tonight we can upgrade our accommodations to something a little more reasonable. The rain has put any plans of saving money through camping out of the question. I am just not that hardcore.

Salmon Arm is a nicer town than I had imagined. It is also way bigger than I had bargained for. There appears to be roughly 7 Tim Horton’s here, which is a pretty good indicator of how big it is. It definitely isn’t Kelowna or Vernon, but I could get used to it here.

I’ll be in Kelowna next week, and then back in Calgary on the first of August. I was hoping to make it out to Toronto after than, but I don’t know if that is in the cards at this point in time.

Hope everyone is having a good summer.

Peace.
