I will push my hands through you, I don’t need bullets

I am currently sitting in a coffee shop in Salmon Arm, BC. The owner has made sure I have hot coffee in my cup for the last couple of hours. Normally hanging out in a coffee shop isn’t the kind of thing I would do when at the lake, but it has been pouring rain for the whole morning.

We spent last night in the worst motel I can remember staying in, Traveller’s West Motel. Never stay there. The advertised Free Internet turned out to be a computer in the office, and beds that sink in the middle aren’t what you are looking for when two dudes are sharing a bed. We also appeared to be the only people at the motel who didn’t work for Tiger Forest Tree Planting.

I’m hoping that tonight we can upgrade our accommodations to something a little more reasonable. The rain has put any plans of saving money through camping out of the question. I am just not that hardcore.

Salmon Arm is a nicer town than I had imagined. It is also way bigger than I had bargained for. There appears to be roughly 7 Tim Horton’s here, which is a pretty good indicator of how big it is. It definitely isn’t Kelowna or Vernon, but I could get used to it here.

I’ll be in Kelowna next week, and then back in Calgary on the first of August. I was hoping to make it out to Toronto after than, but I don’t know if that is in the cards at this point in time.

Hope everyone is having a good summer.

Peace.

Do you need the blood I bleed?

I realize this thing is pretty much useless now, so I am just sort of putting something up to let people know I am alive.

I went to the lake last week. It was a really good time. I managed to get some kind of colour on my skin, which is nice after spending the last year inside under fluorescent lights.

Calgary is pretty lame due to Stampede. I’ve only been here three years and I am already over it, although I do appreciate all the short skirts.

I’m pretty much taking the summer off to do Mod 4, which has been cool so far. I am doing not too bad for the motivation. We’ll see if I can keep it up.

Plans for the rest of the summer involve going to Kelowna, and trying not to do anything too stupid.

Peace.
