I’ll survive because that’s what I do best
Haven’t done much writing lately. I blame that entirely on the heat. It is obviously far too hot everywhere these days to accomplish anything of substance, be it at work or at home. This is why I have been surviving off veggie burgers, kraft dinner and Vietnamese subs for the past week. And slurpees. Anyone who has ever seen me in a really hot climate (Palm Beach, Kelowna, etc) knows that I don’t deal well with the heat.
That being said, I have done lots of stuff lately that hasn’t been written about. I’ve been to LA, the lake and numerous watering holes in between. None of this actually warrants a detailed account, so you will just have to use your imaginations to come up with all the cool things a kid like me could do in those places.
Upcoming events on the music tip include Dashboard, Metric and at some point Wolf Parade. The first two I have seen before, and all I really have to say about them is that I’m pretty sure I am more excited to see Metric than Dashboard. On the other hand, The Wolf Parade is one of those bands that I definitely grew into, meaning I missed them the last time they came through. Their CD “Apologies to the Queen Mary” is one of the cds I played incessantly on my trip to Palm Beach, and now they are permanently associated in my head.
So I got distracted by work for about 3 hours there and now I don’t really know where I was going with what I was writing. As such it ends here. I’ll try harder next time.
And I leave you with a music video that may or may not be terrible. Or awesome. I need to watch it a few more times to figure it out.
Peace.
