Well I'm not young but I'm not through
Back when I started writing this blog I did it as a means to keep in touch with friends in Saskatoon, and scattered elsewhere. Lately, I have been thinking about how bad I am at keeping touch, and how the garbage I’ve put up is nothing more than filler. I am going to try and change this, but am unsure as to how at this point. I want to let people know what’s going on in my life (because I’m certain everyone is burning with a need to know these things), but I can’t think of a way to do it without sounding like a whiney little bitch. That is not to say that all I will be doing is complaining, but I’m sitting at the tail end of my busy season at work, and that pretty much clouds the rest of your outlook on life. I’m hoping I can be out of the woods with this work stuff in the next couple weeks, which will make all the difference in the world, and I can focus on being a normal person again, instead of an auditor during busy season.
For now I am leaving a list of facts about my current situation:
- Still in school (CASB) due to the fact that I don’t like working on school while working at my job and continue to fail modules. The plan is to have this school crap done by the end of this summer, but I’m beyond making promises to myself about that kind of stuff.
- Still work at E&Y in Calgary.
- Still live downtown in Calgary with Tim.
- Haven’t spent near enough time doing anything outside of the aforementioned items.
- Snowboarding has taken a backseat to work, and the last few times I have been out I have been far too hung-over to really get my shred on.
- I still haven’t sat through Neon Bible, A Weekend In the City, All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone, Friend and Foe, or really any of the other big releases this year. I blame this on the fact that I can’t chill out to music when I have staff asking me questions every ten minutes and when I get home I am way too wound up to do anything like dig in to a cd.
- I thought we were out of the woods with this winter stuff but last night around ten if started dumping. The snow seems super wet and heavy, and it kind of reminds me of those pictures you see of guys riding in Japan. I think I would like to be riding in this right now.
I think that’s about it.
Peace.
